What's the most important thing in street photography ?
Right getting the shot.
To be honest I don't care for primes (in street work that is) I want the max reach. So a sharp 24-70 or in my case 35-200 minolta (which is great) is my lens of choice.
Settings ?
Manual to set min shutter speed (mostly not lower than 1/200-1/250. And aperture for what I want/need DOF wise.
And auto-ISO.
This way I always know I will get the shot. Some say auto ISO and zooms are not for pros but I say "this gets me the shots without missing one" and I the end that's what's it about getting the shot.
